1. Introduction
Welcome to unhookd ("the App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
2. App Services
2.1 Features
- Block selected apps using iOS Screen Time and Family Controls APIs
- Set custom blocking schedules and time limits
- Allow scheduled access periods for blocked apps
- Provide temporary access when needed
- Track and monitor your screen time statistics
- All processing happens locally on your device
2.2 Pricing and Payments
The App is available through in-app purchase with three subscription options:
- unhookd Pro - Monthly: Monthly subscription with 3-day free trial
- unhookd Pro - Annually: Annual subscription with 7-day free trial
- unhookd Pro - Lifetime: One-time payment for lifetime Pro access
• All prices are shown in your local currency within the App and may vary by region.
• For subscriptions with a free trial, your trial period begins when you confirm your subscription. No charge will be applied during the trial period.
• Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase or after the trial period ends.
• Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings.
• If you cancel during a free trial, you will retain access to Pro features until the end of the trial period.
• No refunds will be issued for any unused portion of a subscription period, except as required by law.
2.3 App Blocking Functionality
- The App uses iOS Screen Time and Family Controls APIs to restrict access to selected applications
- Blocked apps remain inaccessible according to your settings and schedules
- You can configure different blocking durations and schedules within the App
3. User Rights and Obligations
3.1 Age and Consent
- The App is available for users of all ages
- Users under 13 must have parent or guardian consent
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account
3.2 Acceptable Use
- You agree not to circumvent or attempt to circumvent the App's blocking mechanisms
- You agree not to use the App for any unlawful purpose
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
- You agree not to reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code
- You agree not to use the App in any way that could damage or overburden our infrastructure
4. Privacy & Data
We do not collect, store, or share your personal data.
Settings and preferences stay on your device and are never uploaded to our servers.

5. Device Requirements

6. Changes to Service

- Update these terms with reasonable notice
7. Limitation of Liability
The App is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not responsible for:
- Inability to access blocked apps
- Any consequences of app blocking or unblocking
- Screen time tracking accuracy
- Interruptions in service availability
- Any losses or damages resulting from your use of the App
- Missed notifications or updates due to restrictions
8. Intellectual Property
unhookd and its content are owned by Screen Smarter, LLC and protected by copyright and trademark laws.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App for violations of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion.
- We may terminate access at any time without prior notice
- You may terminate by deleting the App and canceling your subscription
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms occasionally with reasonable notice. Continued use after changes indicates acceptance.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of your jurisdiction, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
